Roundu Valley Baltistan village in the longest canyon on earth, Indus river, gorge, valley, terraces, agriculture, white water, rock, desert, Himalaya, Himalayas, Karakoram, Skardu road, Skardu District,Baltistan.
Roundo comes from two syllables. Roun means double cropping zone or lower land and 'do' means a valley in Balti language. Roundo = lower valley. Known as the gate way to Baltistan.Its population is about 80,000 .It was corrupted by the Dogras to today's name Roundu just like they changed Skardo to Skardu
